Plans, prices and stated waits are public, and $39 buys a chosen date and a permanent dofollow link. The free route asks the most here: a badge on your homepage, and a queue that ran well past its stated length.

Best for: Founders with $39 to spend once who want a launch day of their choosing and a followed link without putting a badge on their site.

Free or $39

The launch page sets the two routes side by side. Free, "for patient makers": a public product listing, "StartupBase badge required on your site", a launch date assigned from the queue, "Launches in ~4-5 weeks". Premium, from $39 once: launch tomorrow or on any date within 30 days, a guaranteed homepage feature on launch day, a permanent DR 74+ dofollow backlink, and no badge. Payment goes through Paddle, and nothing recurs.

The badge goes on the product's homepage or footer; StartupBase checks that it is visible and then marks the listing verified. In October 2026 the signed-in flow also asked the founder to upvote three launches and leave one comment before the free launch could join the priority queue.

The wait

StartupBase states the free wait in two places, and the two differ: the launch page says about four to five weeks, the post introducing verified launches says "typical publishing within 2-3 weeks, depending on review volume". The same post adds that "the standard free launch queue can take time because each product still needs review."

A free submission verified with the badge in October 2026 was approved within the hour and scheduled nine and a half weeks out. Its product page was not public before the launch day, so in October the badge on the founder's site led visitors to a "Page Not Found" page.

Outrank

Outrank skips the launch altogether: "Any amount from $15 gets you listed instantly. The more you pay, the higher you rank; the 3 highest payers hold the StartupBase homepage." There is no product page to fill in and no review queue, any website or social profile can take a card, and the card keeps its place on the board permanently. On the read date the board printed $3,428 paid across 107 launches.

The link

The launch page promises "a permanent dofollow backlink from a DR 74+ domain" for every paid launch and "Permanent dofollow link from a DR 74 domain" for Outrank. The free launch is described as the "same permanent listing" without a followed link being named. launchdirectories.com's catalog records StartupBase as dofollow with a Domain Rating of 73.

What this review can't tell you
  • The upvote and comment condition, the approval time and the scheduled date come from one signed-in submission and its scheduling e-mail in October 2026, not from public pages.
  • The prices of the higher tiers and add-ons were read at checkout on 2026-10-07 and may have changed.
  • The Domain Rating figures are StartupBase's own and one catalog's; we did not measure them.
