Startup Fame review67 of 100, fair

Free with its badge on your homepage, $19 or $149 a month without it; a do-follow link on every plan, live while the startup stays listed.

Reviewed 2026-10-10 by Phillip Paul Inker. Facts re-read 2026-10-10. 5 sources. startupfa.me. Brand searches: 140 a month worldwide (Google, read 2026-10-10).

A simple trade, stated plainly: a free do-follow listing for its badge on your homepage, or a monthly plan that skips the badge and goes live in seconds. The link lasts while the listing does, and few people search for the name.

Best for: Founders who accept a badge on their homepage in exchange for a free do-follow link, or want one live at once for $19 a month.

Verified: free, with the badge

"Verified is free: add a Startup Fame badge to your homepage, then our verification bot checks it. After review and approval, your startup is listed with a do-follow backlink." Startup Fame explains the condition instead of hiding it: "Unlimited free do-follows weaken a directory's SEO value for everyone," so the free plan asks for the badge to keep the link scarce.

Its guide to the badge lists what the free review checks: "that the badge is visible, that the site has an English version, that the product delivers on what it claims, and that Domain Rating is above zero."

Highlight and Spotlight

Both paid plans "skip badge verification and publish instantly, with a premium badge and do-follow backlink." Highlight, $19 a month, adds recurring placement in Today's Highlights, refreshed daily, and can be cancelled anytime. Spotlight, $149 a month, adds permanent homepage priority above other listings and an exclusive badge; the guide puts it at four spots, and the pricing page showed none left on the read date.

The link

Every plan carries a do-follow link, and the FAQ is precise about how long: "Your do-follow listing link stays live while your startup remains listed (Verified after approval, or while a paid plan is active). We don't sell uncapped 'lifetime do-follows' that flood the domain with outbound links." The site states DR 80+; TinyLaunch's catalog, read on 2026-10-07, records it as dofollow at DR 77.

Review

"Most review is automated (AI + verification bots), so we don't need a large editorial team," which the FAQ gives as the reason for its prices. The Verified plan card shows 7 days, and the homepage FAQ says review can take several business days. Submitting starts from the website's URL: "Enter your website URL and our AI fills in the details."
