How this list is made

Every place here was tried with a real product in October 2026: we made the account, filled in the form and went as far as the free route goes. Where a site wanted money, its badge on our site, a link back or votes for other launches first, we stopped and wrote down what it asked. The line under each name is what we saw.

Prices, queue lengths and review times are each site's own words on the day we checked. "DR" and "DA" figures are the site's own claim or a catalog's, not a measurement of ours. A followed link means the site says so or our own listing there showed it.

Not here: places that were dead, parked or broken when we tried them, link farms, and sites that only take one niche. The list grows as we try more places, and older rows are checked again.

Reading the labels

Each place carries how you get in, the cheapest paid option where the site states one, and what the free route's link to you is.

  • Free: no payment, no link back, no votes. The wait can still be long; the line says how long.
  • Free with their badge: the free route needs their badge or a link to them on your homepage or footer.
  • Free after upvotes: you upvote or visit other launches first.
  • Paid only: no free route at all.
  • Followed for the top places: the link to you is followed only if you finish in the top places of the day or the week.

Questions

Which launch sites are free and give a followed link?

7 of the 104 let you in for free with a followed link to your site: Pitchwall (formerly BetaPage), LaunchDB (BigIdeasDB), HatchR, Indie Hacker Stacks, LaunchSpot, ProductWatch and SideProjects. Most others give a followed link only to the top places of the day or the week, or only on a paid plan.

What is the cheapest paid launch?

ProdPapa ($1), StartupTile ($1) and GoodTool ($2.90). 54 of the 71 sites that state a price have a paid way in under $20, usually once and without a badge.

Why do so many launch sites ask for their badge?

A badge on your homepage is a link back to them, so every product that launches for free hands the site a backlink. 31 of the 104 make that the price of the free route, and almost all of them sell a plan that drops the rule.
